Calgary police cancel Amber Alert after missing child deemed safe

Hours after issuing an Amber Alert, the Calgary Police Service cancelled it after they determined “the child in question is safe.”

The Amber Alert was cancelled shortly after 10 p.m. Police later said the child was “safely located” but did not provide further details.

The alert was originally issued Thursday night by police after they said they believed a two-year-old boy’s mother abducted him following a supervised visit in northeast Calgary.
