‘Real Housewives’ star Kyle Richards ‘getting along’ with Brandi Glanville

TORONTO — Kyle Richards gave fans a preview of the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Thursday, hinting that her relationship with Brandi Glanville has improved.

“We’re very different but we’ve got to know each other better,” Richards said during an appearance on Global’s The Morning Show. “We are getting along better at this moment — today.”

Richards remains guarded, though. “She’s a loose cannon. She can hit below the belt [and] that’s what kind of makes you scared of her.”

Richards, 44, said she didn’t know what to expect when she became part of the series and called herself “very naive.”

She turned to her niece, Paris Hilton, who knows something about living in the spotlight.

“I would see the lies that people make up and the stories and the tabloids and I would think, that’s crazy. I can’t believe they say these things,” recalled Richards. “But she actually, being so young, really did take it in stride.

“She’s like, ‘we know who we are and you have to not think about it.'”

Still, Richards said being part of The Real Housewives hasn’t been easy.

“It’s very anxiety-provoking,” she said. “I have had many sleepless nights and many tears doing this show.”

The result, though, is a show that gives viewers plenty of drama.

“There are a lot of changes in the dynamics with the women,” Richards said, “and you’ll see people getting closer, people not being friends anymore. A lot of that going on this season.”
