Longueuil police are calling on the public’s help in shedding light on the recent death of a 54-year-old woman who was killed last week.
It’s been exactly one week since the death of Manon Boisvert, whom police have identified as the victim.
New information leads investigators to believe that Boisvert was killed inside her car, which was parked in a commercial parking lot on Sunday Jan. 2 in Longueuil.
Her lifeless body, which police say showed signs of violence, was discovered by a passersby on Jan. 5 th, nearly 72 hours after the car was parked.
With evidence collected so far, police believe the victim was targeted by her attackers, said Mélanie Marcil, Longueuil police spokesperson.

A command post will be set up Wednesday in the commercial parking lot off Roland-Therrien Boulevard.
The mobile command will be stationed at 4201 Rolland-Therrien Blvd. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Police ask anyone with information into the circumstances of Boisvert’s death to come by and speak with investigators.
Marcil says police hope to gather information from people who frequent the area and may have witnessed something on the day of the homicide.
This is the first recorded homicide of 2022 in the city of Longueuil.
