TORONTO – Flights around the world are being cancelled or delayed due to network outages affecting a number of airlines, including Canada’s own Porter Airlines.
Early Tuesday evening, Porter Airlines’ official Twitter account sent out the following tweet:
Soon after, social media was flooded with tweets from stranded passengers:
Speaking with Global News, Brad Cicero, Porter’s director of communications & public affairs says that the problem is lies with Navitaire, an airline outsourcing service owned by management consulting firm Accenture.
“Porter Airlines’ website is down, so the best bet for people is to call the customer service number for updates,” Cicero said.
