The OPS homicide unit said the incident happened at about 3:16 a.m. in the 2200 block of Elmira Drive, just off Iris Street near IKEA.

Officers at the scene discovered the body of 16-year-old John Ndayishimiye.

A second teenage victim, the same age, was found at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he was taken to hospital after being treated by the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
