In May, an over-height truck slammed into the structure of the bridge, sending several cars plunging into the river.

No one was seriously injured in the incident.

Vehicles were forced to detour around the bridge until a temporary span was built in June.

The bridge will be shut down at 7 p.m. and is set to re-open at 7 a.m. The new span will not have supports overhead.

Drivers are being cautioned to prepare for detours and expect delays.
