There were 12 more temperature records broken on Friday as the hot summer-like weather continued in the interior. 17 records were broken on Thursday, with 31 broken on Wednesday.
Ashcroft did not break any records but it was the hot spot across Canada, reaching 36.2 degrees.

Blue River – 29.2 – broke a record set in 2009 of 27.2.
Cranbrook – 29.3 – broke a record set in 2009 of 28.8.
Golden – 28.9 – broke a record set in 1937 of 27.8.

Revelstoke – 30.8 – broke a record set in 2001 of 27.2.
Salmon Arm – 28,8 – broke a record set in 2002 of 28.

However, it appears the sun is not here to stay.
Global BC meteorologist Kristi Gordon says the weekend looks really good for the interior as the hot weather will stick around. For the south coast, Saturday will be nice and sunny, but by Sunday night expect rain and thunderstorms.
By Monday, most of the province will see much more ‘fall-like’ weather, with rain and clouds as we move towards the first official day of fall on September 22.
