Pets In Need

If you want a new pet, The Regina Humane Society is saying now’s the time.

The Regina Humane Society is asking those in our city to consider adopting an animal. The Humane Society says they have an overload of animals that badly need homes, as their kennel space is quickly running out. The Humane Society has about 120 cats and close to 100 dogs that are looking for owners.

The plea to the public is for the people of Regina to open their homes and their hearts and bring an animal home.

"Often it’s just a matter of being over looked, they’re wonderful dogs… They’ve got a lot of love to give, but sometimes it seems for some reason they haven’t found their special someone yet" says Lisa Cook, Executive Director at the Regina Humane Society.

The Regina Humane Society also says it’s important for those who are already dog owners to make sure their animals are spayed and neutered as well as easily identifiable so if the animal can be returned home instead of brought to the Humane Society.
