Squamish RCMP say a 36-year-old man died on Saturday afternoon in a paragliding accident at The Chief.
Squamish RCMP Sgt. Wayne Pride says the investigation is ongoing, but it appears the man fell to his death.
He was with a group of people that had made a successful jump just prior to this one, says Pride.
The man’s body had to be airlifted out by helicopter.
The group was on a remote part of the The Chief, around the back, which Pride says is a very difficult to get to.
He says they have not have a paragliding death in years on The Chief.
