Missing woman found in Saskatchewan wilderness

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – RCMP say a 38-year-old Prince Albert woman was found after four days in the Saskatchewan wilderness.

Last Thursday afternoon, Prince Albert police requested assistance in locating the missing woman.

RCMP conducted a number of patrols looking for the woman and/or her vehicle.

These attempts were unsuccessful until a passerby spotted the vehicle on Sunday night, 14 kilometres south of Weirdale, Sask.

Searchers were out all night.

Around 2:20 p.m. Monday afternoon, the missing woman was found responsive in a heavily-wooded area approximately 3 kilometres from her vehicle.

She was taken to a hospital in Prince Albert.

Mounties say she is suffering from exposure, dehydration and some cuts due to being in the woods for four days.
