WATCH: Over 100 cats seized from Milton home. Alan Carter reports.
TORONTO – Officials in Milton removed more than 100 cats from a Milton home on Thursday afternoon.
The Oakville-Milton Humane Society told Global News they responded after an anonymous tip alerted them to what appeared to be a rescue group overwhelmed with the sheer number of cats in the home.

“The animals that are being removed have been deemed by a veterinarian to be in distress,” Officer Mackasey said.
Crews were seen carrying bags of dead cats from the rural Milton home on Steeles Avenue just west of Winston Churchill Boulevard.
The surviving cats will be brought back to the Oakville-Milton Humane Society before being taken to various vet clinics and foster homes.
But spokesperson Brenda Dushko said the large number of cats is putting a strain on the organization’s resources. She added a trailer is being delivered to house the cats until a more permanent location can be found.
