MONTREAL – Police have arrested 11 suspects and seized illicit drugs and weapons on Thursday in a still-ongoing operation in Montreal.

Organized crime investigators with the Montreal police and the RCMP conducted several raids in Montreal and the surrounding area after receiving a tip.

“We received information about a clandestine laboratory producing narcotics and illicit drugs that were being sold in Montreal,” confirmed Montreal police spokesperson Constable Dany Richer.

The raids began Wednesday night, when several suspects were confronted in a parking lot at Place Versailles, a shopping centre in Anjou.
