Police are looking for a 23-year-old man they believe is the suspect and “wanted on reasonable and probable grounds” for first-degree murder.

Det. Sgt. Steve Bereziuk says the suspect is about five-foot-nine and is believed to have been wearing a dark hoodie and black pants at the time of the altercation.

He’s considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Bereziuk said Sim was not alone after the stabbing as a number of people tried to help the victim after the stabbing

A lot of people rendered him assistance and did the best that they absolutely could,” Berezuik said at the scene Sunday afternoon.

“That includes police. That includes paramedics as well, to get him to the hospital as quick as possible. So, you know, it’s unfortunate circumstance for sure.”
