SASKATOON – After a long winter, weathers seems to be making up for it with some late summer heat and Saskatoon’s outdoor pools are taking advantage.
Due to the anticipated temperatures in the days ahead, the City of Saskatoon has extending the season at Riversdale and George Ward pools until Monday, Sept. 2.

Both civic pools were scheduled to close on Friday.
This is especially good news for Riversdale Pool since it had a late start due to basin drainage repairs that delayed the start of its season in June by ten days.
From Monday to Friday, Riversdale Pool hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. while George Ward Pool is open 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. On the weekend pools operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Admission at Mayfair Pool, George Ward and Riversdale pools is free on Friday, August 30th.
Lathey Pool was closed early this past Sunday due to required maintenance while Friday is Mayfair’s last day of its 2013 season.
