Heritage Gas is building a 19-kilometre pipeline to Northern Pulp at Abercrombie Point.

The plant, which will be the gas distributor’s largest customer, is slated to be on the system by the end of February.

Environment Minister Sterling Belliveau did attach some conditions to the project’s approval.

They included completing a late-season rare plant survey, seeking departmental approval for any wetland alterations, conducting air quality monitoring and forming a community liaison committee.
