MONTREAL – Just a day after it was discovered work had stopped on Highway 10, the same situation has developed on the Turcot Interchange.
The site was abandoned, last Friday.
Construction was being done on ramps connecting Highway 20 and Highway 15 in all directions, and have since become vacated completely.
The project began in April and was scheduled to be done by the end of year.
It goes without saying that this deadline will have to be pushed back.
Originally it was believed that the contractor, Tesco 3000, was the company that abandoned the job.
Recent reports suggest that it is in fact the subcontractor hired to do some repaving work that stopped sending their workers.
There has been no word on when the work will resume.
Transport Quebec said they are currently looking into the issue.
