Man in custody in connection with Calgary infant’s death

CALGARY – Homicide investigators are questioning a man tonight in connection with the killing of a Calgary infant.

Detectives took the suspect into custody in relation to the case of two-month-old Bryson Dorey-Fox, who died Aug. 3.

"We did take a man into custody in Calgary earlier this afternoon,"

Staff Sgt. Rick Tuza of the homicide unit said.

Bryson died two days after his mother brought him to Alberta Children’s Hospital from their home in the 100 block of 29th Avenue N.W.

Investigators didn’t initially disclose any details about Bryson’s final hours, or who was caring for him, but police said two weeks ago that the boy’s parents remained among a small group of people considered suspects.

Bryson’s parents, Jamie Dorey and Carla Fox, have not commented publicly about the allegations.

There have been 19 homicides in Calgary in 2009.
