The 39-year-old producer claims he handed over a briefcase containing about $5,000 cash and several pieces of jewelry.
The incident occurred days after Alex Band, lead singer of The Calling, was allegedly abducted, robbed and beaten in Michigan and left on train tracks.
Band, 32, said he was walking on a street in Lapeer, Michigan at around 4:00 a.m. Sunday when a blue minivan pulled up and several assailants pulled him inside. He was robbed of his phone and a wallet containing credit cards and about $1,200 cash.
He was found later in the day and taken to hospital for treatment of injuries, including a mild concussion and a gash on his chin.
Band told ABC News the gunmen only let him go after he pleaded for his life and told them he was about to become a father.
