Residents on Denman Island are fighting back against a plan to build a new cable ferry connecting the small community to Vancouver Island.
Last year, BC Ferries approved a 50-car cable ferry to replace the current vessel.

The government says it would save about two million dollars per year.
But protesters say it would create new problems, and would cost between 15 and 30 jobs.
They plan to stage a protest this Sunday at the Denman ferry dock.
