Crews work to ready McMahon Stadium for flood relief concert

With only a few days remaining before the Alberta Flood Aid concert, a call has gone out for volunteers to help set up.

Thursday’s event features the likes of Nickelback, Jann Arden, Tom Cochrane and Matthew Good among other big names, and money raised goes towards the Calgary Foundation’s Flood Rebuilding Fund.

Organizers rounded up a few dozen people on Tuesday, to help cover the turf at McMahon Stadium with special flooring, which is on loan from Vancouver’s B.C. Place.

Work continues on Wednesday, when crews will set up the stage.
