New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner mocked a British journalist, belittled a member of his own staff, and told an NBC news reporter to “get a hobby” – all while stumping for votes Thursday.
Weiner knocked on doors in a Manhattan apartment building, while expressing displeasure with his own staff and annoyance at the heavy media presence.
He seemed surprised that reporters followed him into the building while he canvassed for votes.
Only a few residents pledged to support Weiner in the September tenth democratic primary, though none confronted him over the lewd online messages that have defined his run.
After leaving the building, Weiner told the British reporter he found it hard to take her seriously and that he felt like he had stepped into a Monty Python movie.
