A Global News viewer, who called 911, said the fire spread very quickly.

There are homes in the area, but they were not threatened by the fire.

Crews closed the road between Shaughnessy and Pitt River Road while they dealt with the blaze, but it has since been reopened.

It is unclear at this time how the fire started.
