The cost of gas dropped 8 cents overnight in Nova Scotia.
As of Saturday morning, the cost of gas in the province is down to 123 cents.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board said Friday afternoon that it will invoke its interrupter and gas prices would be adjusted, but it did not specify whether it will increase or decrease.
“This change is necessary due to significant shifts in the market prices of gasoline,” said the board in a release.
The drop came after the cost of gas has been climbing steady in Nova Scotia and went up on Friday to 131.2 cents.
“The benchmark price of gasoline is based on an average of the daily market price for refined gasoline on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) converted into Canadian dollars.”
