Martin Streek, the longtime DJ on 102.1 The Edge radio station, has been found dead in his apartment, according to a variety of web sites.
Hours before his death, Mr. Streek had apparently posted the following on Facebook:
So…I guess that’s it…thanks everyone…I’m sorry to those I should be sorry to, I love you to those that I love, and I will see you all again soon (not too soon though)… Let the stories begin.
One blogger named Marsden (luvradio) posted the following on Tuesday: "Martin Streek put on his wings earlier today, to the shock of most everyone. It was only a few weeks back when Martin Streek joined a lot of us CFNY folk at The Andy Poolhall for Kevin O’Leary’s 50th birthday party. It was the same day that he had been bumped from his show at THAT radio station. He seemed in great spirits and was looking forward to tackling new ideas and challenges."
