Chris Vance is best known for his role on Prison Break, playing mysterious inmate "James Whistler," whom "Michael Scofield" (Wentworth Miller) was forced to break out of a deadly Panamanian prison. He also is the lead on Mental.
Chris was born in London in the UK and grew up in the city of Bristol. He graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the north of England before moving to London. Chris’s acting skills were finely honed in the theater, from his first job playing "Paris" in Romeo and Juliet in Oxford, followed by various roles in the London Fringe, Royal National Theatre and various other theater companies in the UK. His UK television appearances include Kavanagh QC, Peak Practice, The Bill, Doctors and Family Affairs.
In his late twenties Chris moved to Australia and divided his time between the cities of Melbourne and Sydney. Chris’s Australian credits include the long-running medical drama series All Saints, Stingers, Secret Life of Us and Blue Heelers. He also appeared in Arclight Films’ feature Macbeth.
