Highway 1 has reopened through Manitoba after winter weather triggered poor road conditions much of Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.
While the Trans-Canada has reopened, there are still snow covered and icy sections along that stretch of highway.
Meanwhile in Westman, multiple road closures are being reported by the Manitoba 511.
- Highway 16 is closed from Russell to the Saskatchewan border
- Highway 45 is closed from Russell to Rossburn
- Highway 83 is closed from Russell to San Clara
- Highway 5 is closed from the Saskatchewan border to Grandview
This is due to blizzard like conditions.
Environment Canada issued multiple weather warnings for the province, with both snow and rain expected to persist throughout Manitoba.
Freezing rain warnings were issued parts of the province, including The Whiteshell and Arborg.
