The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is under fire again. This time it’s accused of being insensitive to the plight of Ontario autoworkers.
The OLG is planning to give away 22 high end cars during next month’s "License to Win" competition at Ontario casinos.
The problem is that they are imported Mercedes-Benz.
The Liberal governemnt and the oppostion are both angry that the OLG didn’t choose Ontario-built cars.
"It was a crappy decision and I let them know it", said Deputy Premier George Smitherman. "It’s disappointing, it’s disillusioning, it’s wrong on all levels."
