Jeremy Guilbaut stars as Canadian Coast Guard Rescue Specialist Andrew Vanderlee. He describes his character: "Andrew holds a strict moral compass that he tries to follow at all times and, if he ever wavers, he comes down on himself really hard."
Guilbaut began his acting at the age of nine, while attending a French immersion elementary school in Vancouver. He continued to act throughout high school, performing in several plays including Private Wars, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Fiddler on the Roof. He went on to study Theatre, Film and History at UBC, where both his parents were professors. While there, he landed the starring role in the CBC series Daring and Grace: Teen Detectives. Guilbaut also had a recurring role on CBC’s Edgemont.
Guilbaut has since appeared in numerous productions including Tru Calling, Battlestar Galactica and Higher Ground as well as supporting roles in the MOWs The Miracle of the Cards and i. Guilbaut was nominated for a Leo Award for his performance in The Snow Queen, a mini series for Hallmark in which he starred opposite Bridget Fonda.
Guilbaut loves traveling and he is about to embark on a three-month backpacking trip through Asia and Europe. When he’s on this continent, he divides his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles.
