Condition of baby born after car crash in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan improves: health region. File / Global News

SASKATOON – A Saskatoon health official says the condition of a baby girl born after a car crash that led to her mother’s death is improving.

Baby Aurora was delivered prematurely after her mother, Brandi Lepine, was injured in the two-car collision in Prince Albert earlier this month.

The 17-year-old girl died soon after giving birth.

Her friend and driver of the car, Taylor Litwin, who was 21, also died.

Linda Walker with the Saskatoon Health Region says the baby’s condition is no longer critical, but she will remain in neonatal care at the Royal University Hospital.

Prince Albert resident Jeremiah Jobb, who is 21, faces a dozen charges that include impaired driving causing death.
