A scare for Ryerson University students this morning after HazMat crews were called in when an envelope containing a suspicious white powder was found on campus.
Ryerson's library building at Victoria and Gould Street was closed off with police tape for a number of hours while emergency crews investigated.
A university employee found the letter sized envelope tucked under a door around 6:30 am.
Four people were quarantined for precautionary reasons. But, in the end, it was determined to be a hoax.
It's the second time this semester this sort of prank has been pulled at ryerson. no injuries or sicknesses have been reported – and classes have now resumed.
