Today is B.C. Beef Day and carnivores are planning to celebrate with a BBQ on the lawn of Legislature in Victoria.
The provincial government says they will also be meeting with beef producers today to discuss industry challenges.

The province says beef production employs 8,700 people across the province.
There are over 4,000 cattle ranches in B.C. with approximately 500,000 head of cattle.
Events are also taking place at Safeway and Save-on-Foods stores across B.C.
