Cummings, Ryder to perform at Canada’s Walk of Fame fest

TORONTO — Canadian rock icon Burton Cummings will kick-off the Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival in September.

Organizers announced Tuesday the Guess Who frontman is set to perform at Toronto’s Massey Hall on Sept. 19.

Serena Ryder will take to the stage of the historic venue the following night.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Maestro Fresh Wes will headline an evening of Canadian hip-hop on Sept. 21 with guests K-OS, Kardinal Offishall and Classified.

Tickets for the concerts go on sale July 26.

The Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival runs Sept. 19 to 21, culminating with the induction gala at the Elgin Theatre.

It will be broadcast at a later date on Global and Slice.

This year’s recipients include actors Victor Garber and Alan Thicke as well as music producer Bob Ezrin.
