A 24-year-old man has passed away in hospital after he was pulled from Sasamat Lake at White Pine Beach in Port Moody on Sunday afternoon.
The BC Coroner’s Office confirmed the death Monday morning.

The man was swimming in Sasamat Lake when he got into distress. Witnesses say he was under the water for at least five minutes before he was pulled out.
An air ambulance took him to safety, but he did not recover.
