REGINA – The City of Regina is implementing changes to its bus routes that will make travelling more efficient and accessible for commuters.
“It’s easy to get around downtown on the bus. It’s not too expensive and it’s better than taking a cab,” said Corey Charles, a local commuter.
These new routes are not to different from those put forward in January but they do come with a few tweaks.

‘‘For example, route 11 it still operating but it’s now a different number.” said Nathan Luhning, from the City Transit Department. “These routes may be a bit of a change for some of our customers that have to learn the new routes,” Luhning added.
The biggest change for transit routes is the new service to outlying areas such as Fleet Street, Wascana Circle, and Diefenbaker Drive.
They’re also adding in express routes through the downtown core that operate during peak traffic hours – but that’s not all.
“We’re adding in some new additional services in the newer residential areas. We’re expanding service to increase customers,” said Luhning.
Along with these new routes, the City of Regina is replacing old buses with 15 new buses.
