A 19-year-old man has drowned while float rafting in the Similkameen River with his friends Saturday afternoon.
Police say the man fell off into the river and had difficulty swimming.

He was swept under the surface near a Keremeos area bridge.
His body was eventually recovered by the search-and-rescue crews.
The RCMP say they have seen over double the previous amount of accidental drownings to date this summer.
