Killer Jon Rallo gets paroled

After four attempts, convicted killer Jon Rallo has been granted day parole.

Rallo appeared before a three-member panel of the National Appeal Board this morning, at the Beaver Creek correctional facility in Gravenhurst, where he’s been serving a life sentence.

The former city of Hamilton employee was convicted in 1977, of the murders of his wife Sandra, 29, and their children, Stephanie, five, and Jason, six. Jason’s body has never been found. Sandra’s body was found in the Welland Canal; Stephanie’s, in Jordan Harbor.

Under day parole, Rallo will be send to a halfway house, where he will have to return every night.
