Born and raised in Toronto. After high school, Grant went to Humber College studying Radio and Television Arts. After a few years working in radio he decided to go back to school, this time York University in Toronto. With a degree in Psychology and Philosophy he decided to go back to radio in Collingwood Ontario.
His TV career started in 1979 in Barrie Ontario. The big move west to Calgary was 4 years later when he joined the incredible sports staff at Channel 2 & 7 (Global Calgary).
Unsure at the time if it was the right decision, but many years later, after working with Ed Whalen on the very popular Flames Games on 2 & 7 and working with talented friends on Sports @ 11, he’ll tell you, moving west was in deed, the right decision.
