Join Brienne Hurlburt weekdays at 11 on News Hour Final.
Born in Fort McLeod, Brienne grew up in High River, where she still calls home today.
Brienne started her career in the broadcasting industry in 2000 at RDTV in Red Deer. That summer, the Pine Lake Tornado struck outside Red Deer. It was that event that confirmed she wanted to chase and report news.
From Red Deer she moved onto an anchoring position at Global Lethbridge. A quick stop in Saskatoon followed that, until accepting an anchor and reporter job at Global Edmonton.
It was in June of 2005, that Brienne’s wish came true when Global Calgary came calling. She currently anchors News Hour Final at 11:00 Monday to Friday.
What Brienne loves most about her job is that it’s so unpredictable. Not knowing what is going to unfold everyday in the world is the most exciting part she says.
When Brienne is not behind the anchor desk or reporting, she spends all her spare time outside on the farm with her animals. She enjoys all sports, riding horses, watching hockey, working out, and cooking.
