TRACADIE-SHEILA, N.B. – A New Brunswick man has been sentenced to 10 months in jail for possessing child pornography.

RCMP say Bruno Boudreau of Tracadie-Sheila previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography.

The 33-year-old, who was sentenced Friday, was also ordered to complete two years of supervised probation as part of his sentence.

He must also register as a sex offender and stay away from public places where children are present for five years.

Police say they began investigating Boudreau in May 2009.

A search warrant was executed at his home in August 2009 and several computer-related items were seized.
