A winter camp is being held in Regina to help kids dealing with diabetes.
Sixteen Saskatchewan families are attending the first ever camp this weekend being held by the Canadian Diabetes Association, and brought to life by the Regina Queen City Kinsmen.
More than 75,000 people live with the disease in Saskatchewan. The focus of the event was to connect kids with others living with diabetes.
“It’s very unique in that the families are here, and there are siblings who don’t have diabetes who are here,” Ryan Malley from the Regina Queen City Kinsmen said. “They get to learn as a group about living with diabetes.”
