Changes to City of Regina Christmas tree collection

The City of Regina has set up four drop off locations for residents looking to recycle their Christmas trees.

Normally the city picks up the trees and recycles them, but this year is different. Each year around 3,000 Christmas trees are collected through the program.

Residents must remove all decorations and the plastic tree bag. Mulch will be made available to the public at a later time.

Beginning in January residents can drop off their trees at the following locations:

– Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre – Saturday, January 8, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

– South Leisure Centre – Saturday, January 15, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

– Joanne Goulet Golf Course – Saturday, January 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

– City of Regina Fleet Street Landfill – January 1 to 29 during landfill hours
