2 children, adult injured after being attacked by family dog in Aurora

York Regional Police say a family dog bit two young children and an adult inside an Aurora, Ont., home on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to a residence on Vines Place, in the Bayview Avenue and Vandorf Sideroad area, at around 8:41 p.m.

Police said two children under the age of 13 and a parent were taken to hospital with dog bite wounds, but it is unknown how serious their injuries are.

Two other men were also in the home at the time of the incident but were not injured.

Investigators said the dog was deceased when officers arrived. Police said the OSPCA is looking into the death of the animal.

It is unknown what led up to the incident. Police said nothing appears to be criminal in nature at this time.

Investigators did not reveal the breed of the dog.
