Hundreds compete in Regina Beach Triathlon

Hundreds of people ran, biked and swam as part of the Regina Beach Triathlon Sunday morning.

The triathlon is the biggest in the province. Four different races – a duathlon, mini triathlon, sprint and Olympic style triathlon – were available for participants to take part in.

The event is a provincial qualifier for experienced triathletes, but organizers encourage those wanting to give the sport a try.

“We like to include the beginners in this race as well, because they are the ones that eventually are going to be racing the longer distance race after they become more comfortable with it,” co-organizer Jason Hubick said.
