A Wednesday morning fire has destroyed the Leask Hotel in Leask, Saskatchewan.
Blaine Lake RCMP were called to the scene around 2:43 a.m. When they arrived, the hotel was engulfed in flames.
Leask and surrounding Fire Departments were able to confine the fire to just the hotel. Fire crews are still on the scene fighting hot spots.
The owner of the building was in the building at the time but managed to escape safely.
Most of the historic building was destroyed by the fire, which was set to celebrate its 100th anniversary next year.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Leask is about 100 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
