Seanna Collins produces and hosts Out There, Global Edmonton’s community calendar segment. She also hosts the Save-On Foods Meal Solutions feature which airs on Global Edmonton and Global BC.
Seanna is a true Albertan. She was born in Edmonton and raised in Calgary.
Her broadcasting career began in 1983 at a radio station in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She then moved to Regina as the first woman to host a radio morning show. Seanna also tried television sports reporting at one point.
In 1987, Seanna’s radio career brought her back to Edmonton. She moved into a full-time television gig in 1993. Since 2000, Seanna has been a part of the Global Edmonton family. She is also the co-host of the morning show on 104.9 EZ Rock.
Seanna keeps active in the community as a host and MC for many events and charitable organizations. This past year, she hosted the Alberta Summer Games and the Alberta Winter Games on behalf of Global Edmonton. She’s also been the media spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area for over a decade.
In her off time, Seanna likes “just being at home” with her husband David and their golden retriever Tacoma. Â She also enjoys gardening, golfing, being outdoors in the summer, and hibernating in the winter.
