Death in northeast Calgary deemed non-criminal: police

Calgary police have deemed the death of man in the city’s northeast on Monday morning non-criminal following an autopsy that was conducted on Wednesday.

On April 27, at around 9:15 a.m., police said it responded to a call of a man in medical distress at the 3500 block of 32 Avenue N.E.

Officers said the man was pronounced dead by emergency medical services before police arrived.

Initially, detectives believed the death to be suspicious, however, on Wednesday police said the matter has now been deemed non-criminal, and added that no further information will be released on the death.
