A rural highway in B.C.’s Southern Interior has been reopened to traffic after getting temporarily blocked by a slide.
According to a tweet by AIM Roads, which provides highway maintenance in the Okanagan and Shuswap regions, the Princeton-Summerland Road has been opened once again between Chain Lake and Osprey Lake.
The tweet came at 3:30 p.m., nearly eight hours after the contractor first said the road was closed.
The slide occurred at Shinnish Road and Princeton-Summerland Road. It’s believed the slide was approximately 75 feet wide.
