Family Fit

The Bradford family have bravely agreed to share their journey to better health and fitness this summer on Friday’s Health FYI and the Saturday Morning News. They’re opening up their kitchens and their lives because they know their bad habits are shared by many: too many bad dinners out, too much time in front of “˜screens’ and not enough fresh food and exercise. Bradford dad Grover also knows that a lot is at stake; he has a family history of heart disease and diabetes and hopes to be around to see his kids have kids! Mitchell and Jayden are 12 and 9 years old and they both love sports, but spend too much time playing the video game versions and not getting the level of activity recommended by Healthy Kids Canada.

The family’s goals are:

Grover: To lose inches, eat clean and workout for at least 30 minutes a day

Keri: To lose weight and inches and be healthy inside and out.

Jayden: To cut down on screen time, eat healthier and get 60 minutes of exercise a day.

Mitchell: To cut down on screen time, eat healthier, exercise 60 minutes a day and lose some weight.
