Joe Rich — A local state of emergency is now lifted for a property in the community of Joe Rich.
It was first issued last Saturday, when an abandoned home came dangerously close to being swept away by the fast- moving waters of Mission Creek.

The Ministry of Transportation issued the state of emergency, in order to gain access to the property and demolish the home.
The demolition and removal of extra debris is now finished, but cleanup crews are still working downstream from the property to remove anything swept away.
