TORONTO – It’s that time to sing and dance at the Toronto Jazz Festival.
All week you can enjoy concerts in various locations around the city: Everything from old school Jazz to more contemporary styles.
Josh Grossman is not only the Artistic Director of the Jazz Festival but his band he is also performing.
“I still try to play the trumpet as much as I can,” he said. “With the band I am a conductor and I do a little bit of composing as well.”
Josh put this group together while he was attending the University of Toronto and says it’s always a blast when him and his 18 musicians get on stage to perform.
“They’re just so much fun to work with, they’re generous with their time they’re committed to the music and as long as I keep them interested they stay involved.”
The festival attracts A-list performers in the industry such as Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson and Eliane Elias.
Whether you’re a fan of the originals or something new with a little twist, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival has something for all of us music lovers.
The festival wraps up June 29th.
